great episode... I think that it shows how loyal dogs can be to their first owner, but when the dog's first owner dies, and he finds a second owner (Kagome) who is nicer, sweeter and way better company, in the end the dogs loves the second owner much more. So the only reason that Inuyasha went after Kikyo is because when he thinks about her, he thinks about the way it would have been if Kikyo successfully turned him into a human - he would finally be excepted.
